I'm installing it on a server that I have Linux running on... so I'm not sure if there is a previous version of MySQL on there already.<br />When I tried the --basedir I got the same error: <br /><br />cripts/mysql_install_db --basedir=.<br />scripts/mysql_install_db: line 244: ./bin/my_print_defaults: cannot execute binary file<br />Neither host 'TonidoPlug' nor 'localhost' could be looked up with<br />./bin/resolveip<br />Please configure the 'hostname' command to return a correct<br />hostname.<br />If you want to solve this at a later stage, restart this script<br />with the --force option<br /><br />I think that was the expected result, but I'm really not sure what to do to fix it now.
